Inquisitive About Visible Thinking? Course Objectives

Inquisitive About Visible Thinking?

Inquisitive about Visible Thinking? is a course for teachers who want their students to learn through discovery, discussion, collaboration and  implementation of Visible Thinking Routines. This course uses Inquisitive resources during the workshop but it is not essential to have a subscription to Inquisitive.com to participate.

Teachers will:

  • Develop an understanding of the research of Harvard Graduate School of Education through Project Zero and its use in the classroom.
  • Participate in collaborative activities to discuss and develop ways to improve students’ skills (problem solving, critical and creative thinking)  that are applicable to all KLAs by selecting and using appropriate Visible Thinking Routines that engage their students in the learning process.
  • Gain the confidence to create and/or adapt a range of resources to include Visible Thinking Routines, using Inquisitive resources to improve and enliven each student’s connection to the content and increase student engagement.
  • Collaborate with peers to make their own thinking visible to their students as a new classroom culture is developed.
