The Early Years, What Really Matters is a 2-day workshop for teachers in the first few years of their teaching career. It provides 11.5 hours of professional learning.

The workshop is delivered through presentation, group discussions, individual and collaborative development of resources.

Participants leave the course with a greater sense of confidence, new ideas, resources and strategies ready for immediate implementation in their classroom.

Course Objectives

• Engage in discussion, based on current research;
• Expand your toolbox with practical and workable strategies to create an effective learning environment;
• Develop strategies to create a productive classroom that minimise challenging student behaviours;
• Consider the elements of great teaching and learning and their application to your classroom;
• Identify strategies that support your healthy physical and emotional well-being;
• Create effective processes to manage your workload in a time-wise manner.
